We collect this data in order to:

• Personalize the user experience within the Blue community.
• Provide accurate water parameter measurements.
• Optimize the experience within the Blue application.

User data is collected via a form during registration.

4. Data Storage and Security

User data is stored on a secure server external to the application. It is protected by high-security encryption, and only authorized persons (members of the Blue administration team) have access to this data. Inactive user accounts without activity for more than 24 months may be subject to deletion after prior notification by email.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

As a mobile application, Blue uses local storage and analytics tools to improve the user experience. We do not use traditional browser cookies.

6. Data Sharing

Data sharing concerns information related to the aquarium, measurements, fish, corals, invertebrates, and equipment. Only the user's first and last name are displayed on the sharing page. Sharing is initiated by the user via the share button located on various pages of the application. A sharing opt-out option is available in the "Tank" section when selecting an aquarium. Blue does not share users' personal information.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: You can request a copy of your personal data at any time.
• Right of rectification: You can modify your personal data directly in the application or by contacting us.
• Right of erasure: You can delete your account from the Profile section in the app. Data is removed within 30 days.
• Right to data portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Right to object: You can object to the processing of your data for specific purposes.
• Right to withdraw consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

By creating an account on Blue, the user consents to the processing of their data as described in this policy. This consent can be withdrawn at any time by deleting your account.

11. Third-Party Services

Blue uses the following third-party services to operate the application:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, crash reporting, and analytics.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management and purchase verification.
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Payment processing for subscriptions. Blue does not store any payment or credit card information.
• Hosting provider: Secure server infrastructure for data storage.

These services may process personal data in accordance with their own privacy policies. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).
